Project

The project consists in the implementation of a 3Dinteractive simulation of the nuragic village of Sa Sedda e sos Carros, located in central Sardinia, in the municipal territory of Oliena.

Info

Located in the Lanaittu valley, the nuragic village of Sa Serra e sos Carros is of remarkable scientific importance. The site is characterized by the presence of a round-shaped holy hut with large steps and a central basin. On the top of the structure three sculpted mouflon heads stand out, from which, most probably, water gushed out. The project has been carried out in close collaboration with Teravista and Renderingstudio.

Description

The 3D model of Sa Sedda e sos Carros has been developed starting from more than 500 digital shots acquired from helicopter, the result being a total model of the site with its surroundings, which can be interactively navigated throughout in 3D mode. The end product is hence a direct evolution of the original technical material, which ensures that precision (and hence technical quality) is maintained.

The 3D model has been inserted within the geographic environment of the Lanaittu valley. Vegetation, ambient audio effects, advanced graphic effects and fauna have been added, in order to create a virtual environment of great immersive effect and full realism. The graphic scenery is PC navigable in real-time through an immersive visualization of the whole area, reconstructed to a highly photorealistic detail.
